Davids natural aptitude and passion for his chosen profession combined with working alongside world-renowned stylists in top London salons, gave him an invaluable insight into all aspects of hairdressing and how to provide an exclusive service for high profile, international clients.
Despite loving the buzz and excitement of the city, he decided to move from the metropolis for family reasons and runs a contemporary salon in Kent, with his equally talented wife, Tracey Rae. They work as a team and their business employs 12 highly trained stylists. David’s experience, creativity and attention to detail, ensures the salon replicates the same professional standards of hairdressing and customer service as top London salons.
He has a large, international clientele, drawn from the world of business, sport, music and fashion. Based in New York, Europe and Scandinavia, these clients schedule their appointments when they are in the UK, appreciating that David will fit in with their work commitments, maintain complete discretion and confidentiality and style their hair to perfection.
His work includes regular fashion shoots and session work behind the scenes for well-known events, the most recent ones being an assignment for Christopher Shannon, Craig Green, LCM and KTZ of who were all featured in Vogue. David Rae has worked in the medium of television and was delighted to participate in the making of a documentary about Kate Middleton.
He is also the proud holder of the Guinness Book of Records for the most haircuts under water!
